Student Control - Welcome / Conditions of Use

      
     

The student control application runs hidden processes in the background that students are unaware of.  These processes contain the rules which determine how the system if run and what the user sees.  Some of these can be viewed by clicking on the following links.

 

Welcome / Conditions of Use Quick Notice Internet OK

This is the Welcome screen that is displayed as soon as a student logs in.

In most schools every user sees these screens. This ensures a uniform approach to the network and enables all the enhanced features that student control offers.

The major features on this screen are:

    Selectable Display
    This screen contains selectable on and off settings.
     
    Timer Lock
    This screen is time locked, as the buttons displayed below are not visible until the time has expired. By default it is 30 seconds, however, this is customisable by the Administrator. This allows time for the students computer to load any startup applications (e.g.: Antivirus) and confirms that the students/teachers comply with the terms and conditions of use for the network.
     
    Logout Function
    Should the user not agree with the terms of use, by selecting the "I Do Not Accept These Terms and Conditions" the user is automatically logged out of the machine.
